Overview
The brief was to provide a substantial five bay aggregate storage solution for their Shap Beck Quarry facility in Penrith, Cumbria.
One of their particular requirements would be a one stop shop service in terms of design, manufacture, installation and logistics. A further requirement would be that the on site delivery and installation of could be carried out within a fairly tight time frame of five days, to minimise disruption to their daily operation.

Challenge
We were delighted at the prospect of becoming a service provider to one of the major aggregate producers here in the UK.
Equally we were keen to show our ability to design, produce and deliver to their stringent timelines whilst coordinating a third party installation contractor.
We had sourced and recommended the installation contractor as someone we had previously worked with and could confidently go forward with.
Logistically we carefully planned how eight articulated vehicles could be loaded at our manufacturing plant in Rochdale, Lancashire and unloaded on site in Cumbria “some 100 miles away” on five consecutive days within the short daylight hours of December.

You struggle to find people as helpful in any trade. They will bend over backwards to ensure you get what you require at the best possible price.
